Thank you so much if you entered the Binfield 10K 2020 and for your patience with us this year as we have dealt with the complications that Covid-19 has bought to us.
It is with much sadness that we have made the decision to cancel the planned 10K on 11th October 2020. As a committee of volunteers, and with the uncertainty still around us, we feel that we will not be able to implement the safety precautions necessary. Even if the restrictions have been lifted by then, which is doubtful, for us to organise a run on such a scale as the 10K, it would just be too complicated this year. The 10K run is a fantastic community event, and we feel it just wouldn’t be the same to organise it under such circumstances.
However, rest assured that as long as we are able to, we will be back next year!!! The 10K 2021 will take place on Sunday 23rd May and we are able to confirm that we will transfer your entry to next year, and there will be no extra cost. You will have a guaranteed place next year, and we hope you will be able to run.
Sadly, we are not able to give refunds. We are charged £2 for each refund we provide, and so even if you are unable to make next years date, your money will go into our charity pot.
Thank you so much for your support and understanding – we hope to be back in spectacular style next year!!!
However…… All is not lost! We still have 850 medals for the Binfield 10K 2020 and we want you to have yours!! We are currently looking into plans for a virtual run in which you can still run a 10K and still receive your medal. As soon as we can formalise this plan we will let you know, so please keep an eye on facebook and our website.
Your place for the 2021 is guaranteed and you won’t need to re enter next year or pay any additional fee.
We really really hope to see you next year, and in the meantime, we can’t wait to see your virtual runs and we can’t wait to get your medal to you!
